Written after his nomination at the Democratic Convention to Reid Sanders, a young man of 18. Buchanan demonstrates a fatherly concern in this charming letter full of sage, eternally valid advice. "Pray take regular exercise and reflect upon all you read so as to incorporate and appreciate it and not suffer it to slip away from your memory." Engraved portrait with engraved signature included.
